At the devices of the FirePro® Aerosol Fire Extinguishers and Fire Extinguishing Systems there are power supply wires for the electrical initiation of the device.

The device can also be activated by a temperature sensitive cord which is connected to the device and is installed near potential seats of fire.

At the outlet of the device there is a screen for the even distribution of the extinguishing aerosol. The FirePro® Aerosol Fire Extinguishers and Fire Extinguishing Systems can be triggered electrically, thermally or manually (or in any combination of two) through an activator which supplies the necessary energy for the initiation of the transformation of the extinguishing solid material. On activation the solid material is transformed into a rapidly expanding fire extinguishing aerosol (1 gr. of solid material generates 1 liter of aerosol) which, after passing the cooling area (in selected models), leaves the generator through the outlet into the protected space and extinguishes the fire in seconds.

It is now possible to protect areas and objects which could not be protected up to now.

FirePro^® Aerosol Fire Extinguishers and Fire Extinguishing Systems are designed both for universal volumetric protection (total protection) and localized protection, which means that protection is based per cubic meter on which a calculation is made to determine the type of fire-extinguisher and the quantity of extinguishing material necessary for the protection of a specific volume or object. For the concentration of extinguishing aerosol required per cubic meter (with little or no ventilation), in FirePro® Aerosol Fire Extinguishers and Fire Extinguishing Systems 25+ grams of extinguishing material is necessary (compared with between 250 and 350 grams of Halon or between 700 and 1500 grams of CO2).
